Solar Furniture International

Solar Furniture International (Solar) specializes in providing
high quality wood furniture to their clients, who are
predominantly four and five star hotels. Projects are done
on a large scale and require special engineered products
combined with project management services.High end hotels
insist projects meet timelines and demand minimal

THE CHALLENGE

Solar is part of a fast paced industry. Projects undertaken are large, complex and time critical. Their team of Project Managers and Production Engineers need to stay in constant communication with each other, their clients, suppliers and business partners. Solar’s team regularly requires business travel. Solar were using VPN communications link to enable their team to connect to critical corporate information. The challenge was that VPN was not always accessible from every hotel. When available, VPN connections were prone to dropping, which would require re-establishment of the link as well as recovering work and resulted in inefficient use of time.

THE SOLUTION

Solar implemented a solution based on THINWORX to provide their team with access to business critical data. Now team members always have access to critical information whether they are working remotely or from their home offices. The team finds THINWORX to be more reliable and capable of working in environments where the previous VPN solution would not operate.
